Not Role-Played before? No worries! We've all been there.
Anyways, we figured we should have something to say how to Role Play (RP) - and I think I've found a pretty good guide from here, which I've pasted below:
#1 No godmoding. Godmoding is where you control someone else's character without permission. Its very rude, and it makes you seem unintelligent. (E.g. - say you kill them - you shoot them, say, and give them no chance to defend themselves and they die - that's Godmoding)
#2 Literacy is always appreciated. Literacy is not using big words. Its using complete sentances and proper grammer, not to mention at least a reasonable attempt at proper spelling. Paragraphs are also a big part of being literate. If you want to use large words, make sure that you understand what it means, and how to use it properly in a sentance. Literacy is not, chatspeak. It will never be chatspeak. Things such as 'R u ready?' make it seem as though you don't truly want to put the effort into your roleplaying as it deserves.
#3 Though it's not always expected, writing in the third person tends to be a standard that will not be broken (As is it on this site). In certain roleplays, typing in first person will be allowed, most are more easily done in the third person. As a reminder, first person is when you're talking about yourself "I want, with ME, that's MINE" That type of speech is used when your character speaks.* Second person is where you're talking to someone. "Could YOU" That again, is used in speech patterns of your character.* The third person is where you are talking about someone. "THEY are, THOSE people" This will be what your posts should be written in.*
Now that the ground rules have been laid out, a sample paragraph of what a good roleplay post would be shall be given!

She looked around quickly at her surroundings, there was nothing. She couldn't sense her opponent anywhere, and it made her nervous. Adjusting her grip on her katana, Sihara could practicly feel her opponent's gaze upon her. "Come out here and face me, you coward!" Her voice rang through the humid midday air, tension, a palpable element in her aura.

And that's how to roleplay.
I think that's covered everything - but if you have any questions please feel free to post below or PM me or another admin ;D
